the eyes still have it

I recently read an article which supports that which many of us have long suspected. A person’s eyes, while most often the first thing that one notices when meeting someone, are the feature most likely to leave a lasting impression. Apparently stunning eyes can eclipse weaker attributes. It would seem that “a lasting impact is not limited to color and hue, but also includes shape, size and placement on the face” . . . though I have never seen them placed elsewhere.

So I went looking through some portraits that I have shot – I am finding some great color, beautiful shapes, and yes, all are on the face.  I’ll buy in to the research about the shape and the placement (?), but I still believe somehow that we brown-eyed individuals are missing out.

Just as a note – none of the eyes in the following images have been altered or enhanced.
